344A Christmas Party Nights Claiming Race

J.S. Dalton, rider of Gordon Bennett, trained by Richard Brabazon, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right under pressure.

344B Celebrate Your Special Med. Auction M'dn

Adam Caffrey, rider of Coincidental Glory, trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen for the first furlong.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Leveraging, trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran free.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Spiced Gold, trained by T.G.McCourt, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.

Ms. Sheila Lavery, trainer of Leveraging, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her charge scoped dirty post race.

344C Student Race Day At Dundalk Stadium M'dn

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident at around the two furlong pole involving Beautiful Affair, ridden by J. Pietropaolo, placed first, and Spirit Of Indalo, ridden by R. Coakley, placed fifth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

R.P. Cleary, rider of Phidias Ovation, trained by P.C.O'Donnell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got upset in stalls.

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the straight involving Wingit, ridden by R. Whearty, unplaced, and Stolen Treasure, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, unplaced, where it appeared Stolen Treasure shifted into the path of Wingit. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Darkdeserthighway, trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.

344G1 Now Racing Every Wednesday H'cap

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances whereby Waystar, trained by John C. McConnell, and ridden by R. Coakley, and Together Aclaim, ridden by K.G. Kennedy, had to be resaddled due to the incorrect saddle going on the two horses. Evidence was heard from the Brian Molony, Authorised representative, who stated he was busy and accidently mixed up the two saddles. Having considered evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied the trainer was in breach of R148(i) and having considered his clean record, they fined him €200.

344G2 Now Racing Every Wednesday H'cap

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Tom McGuinness, trainer of Nyota, regarding the circumstances around his charge being presented for identification with no shoes. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that due to a previous injury it is in the best interests of the horse not to be shod and he had been in contact with the IHRB prior to its previous run and submitted a veterinary certificate to confirm the animal was suited to run without shoes. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed Nyota to run on this occasion however, they advised Tom McGuinness that he would need to submit a dated veterinary certificate in future.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gerard O'Leary, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Brandon Creek (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge likes the surface and had a blood disorder during the summer but is now in good health. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content of the report.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Jawhary (GB), trained by Adrian McGuinness, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly right throughout.
